Directions

- You can change dried fruits and spices with such of your taste
- You may substitute white sugar with brown for more caramel zest

In a saucepan add about 70 ml apple juice from the baking. Put the brown sugar and caramelize. When the sugar is melted and topping is caramelized and thickened, withdraw from hot plate and add the butter, the cognac and the almonds. Serve the baked apples with 2-3 table spoons of caramel topping on each. |
