Wash and slice the apples in the form of a crescent. Leave the pieces a bit thicker for better distinguishing of the sour, apple taste. Sift the flour and add baking powder. Put half of the sugar and the butter into a pan on the hot plate. Heat over medium heat until butter melts and sugar turns into caramel. Withdraw from the hot plate and arrange the apples in one direction as a fan. |

Whisk the eggs with the other 220 g sugar. Add flour with baking powder mix. Spread over the caramel and apples. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200 C for 30 minutes. Keep the cake for 5 minutes in the baking tin to cool slightly and then turn it upside down over a big flat plate, with a careful and fast movement. Pour one cup of water in the pan and return to hot plate. Let it bubble for 5 minutes and liquefy the remaining caramel. Moist the cake with the syrup. |
